Smockette and I are thinking of having a RU in Mont Belvieu in Oct. Would like to know if there is any interest in Attending. There is a park with a very large building with A/C if needed and a kitchen and a huge area outside for our plants. Also around the area is a lot of RV parks for anyone that would be interested. If you look on a map it is not even a mile from where hwy 146 and I-10 meet. I can call the city and see what dates are available. The deposit is 100 dollars but refundable if place is clean and garbage removed.
Which weekend is a better choice for anyone?

About 30 mins East of Houston on I-10.
If a Fall RU is still in the works, I would love to come. I just bought a homestead up the road a ways, in Dayton!! I'm sure my daughter that lives in Baytown would be interested too. Possibly my daughter-in-law from Houston too.

My truck blew a head gasket which has left me without transportation. I hope to have one before spring. Maybe we could have one then.
It also did not have much interest. Only 3 others besides me and Smockette showed interest. I need several months in advance to book the park.

I'll be watching for a new thread. It would certainly be the closest RU or swap for me. And sorry about your head gasket. One of our vehicles (the 4x4) just had the rear-end go out, so I can definitely relate. I'm just hoping to get ours fixed before (or if) it rains. The last 1/4 mile of road (private ones) into my new place is really bad - when it gets really wet. lol My parts are ordered, and hopefully we will get them all soon. Thankfully my husband can fix it himself, otherwise it might be a long time till it was done.

Smockette said we are going to Mercer but it is a long way for her to come get me. She lives above the Woodlands 75 miles from me.
I called my mechanic Fri to ask some questions and the first 1 I ask was did my truck heal itself lol. The answer was no...:(
Hey it is raining here. Hip Hip Hurray!!!
The rain today was such a blessing. And a little bit of a curse for me. lol I had to go out and buy groceries (clear down to Garth Road on the other side of I-10) and the private road coming in to my place got pretty muddy and was scary to ride on. I really need that 4x4 to get out and in.
My daughter will be going to the Mercer Swap with me - she lives down in Baytown too. PM me and maybe we can get you a ride.

After this wkend, I may be wishing for some more of Texas summers. I think these Hoosiers are ribbing me b/c I HATE cold!!! But they are saying it may snow this wkend. They must be watching a different Weather Channel than I am b/c mine says rain is supposed to stop today & days around 60's & nites in 30's for the wkend.
