Queen of the Night pieces

Ellendale, DE(Zone 7a)

Hello, everyone.

I have two Queen of the Night plants that I simply do not have room for.
I could separate them into rooted pieces and possibly have enough for seven people.

I am willing to give these away since I do not have a greenhouse or deck.

Photo to come later today.

Sincerely,
Timmy Jo

I would be interested. I can pay postage. Sending you a d-mail

Here are the plants which I am willing to divide and share. Perhaps I should do this on the swap and giveaway forum, but this is Queen of the Night, which has somewhat of a specialty following.

I'm going to keep one small piece for myself but divide the rest. Please d-mail me if interested. I have had one response so far as of tonight (Friday, April 29, 2011.)

Some information for those interested in timmijo's offer of cuttings of that beautiful plant. If the plant is Epiphyllum oxypetalum, it's a great plant that has beautiful white, wonderfully fragrant flowers that only open at night. I've had E. oxypetalum for over 30 years and I love when it blooms each year. I make a point to watch the progression of the buds, keeping close watch at night so as not to miss the fully opened flower ... the blooms only last for one night and by morning are wilted and spent. For anyone interested in seeing what the blooms look like:

Thanks so much, Plantladylin! I was getting around to the info, truly, I was, but I am so glad you did! If only I had the room—those blooms on that link are magnificent!

Anyway, any advice as to the division? Should I try to keep the leaves intact? Thanks again.

Ok, well, Welcome, Eva! And you can find me in d-mail here on Dave's Garden if you click on my name. That will take you to D-mail, a private correspondence tool. Send me your mailing address there. We'll go from there, okay?

You are going to just love Dave's Garden. It's a great place to swap, trade, and learn about plants of all types. It's such a full site, it may take awhile to get to know it, so just take your time and enjoy it.

You should post it under plant swap.

They are beautiful plants! Mine is HUGE with dinner plate size blooms! Those of you who are getting cuttings should know that you will not see blooms on those rootless cuttings for 3 years. But you will not be disappointed.

You're right; I should have done this on plant trade or swap.

The pieces are all spoken for. I can't seem to find a button to push to close this offer. Thanks to everyone, I found homes for my Queen of the Night.

Sincerely,
Timmy Jo Given
