Nolana (Nolana reichei)
Hi Sunny! Such a great color! New to me.
Yes, it's an awesome blue! I bought one but couldn't plant it right away to due an impromptu garden redo, so it's taken awhile to recover from being in its little pot for too long. It's blooming like crazy, but its foliage isn't as lush as the ones in Annie's demonstration gardens. Then again, my plants never look as good as theirs anyhow. ;-). It's definitely worth trying if you get the chance!
I think they add fertilizer to their planting mix. I bet your new garden look is great.
Ah, well that makes sense about the fertilizer....whatever they do certainly works! The new garden is still a work in progress, but definitely headed in the right direction. I'll post a pic of the Nolana in its new digs when I go through and organize my pics (just got back from a trip and have a large backlog).
Another trip! You sure get around!
This was yet another trip to Yosemite :-).
Such a great color combo contrast!
...now if I can only keep the Creeping Jenny from creeping out of the water ;-).
I'm so in love with that blue! I wish that Nolana was a perennial, as it's a bloom machine and I'd love to keep it in that spot.
