I have a 9 year old shorkie, half yorkie and half shih tzu. I adopted her last winter and I never noticed her being afraid of thunderstorms last year. About a month ago we had a storm and she was shaking terribly. I held her, but she still shook. Last night we had another storm and she starting shaking again. At first she wanted me to hold her, but then hid in back of the couch. When I went to bed she hid under the bed. Does anyone know of a way that I can help her to learn to be calm during a storm? Also, why was she alright last year and not now. Does it something to do with her age?
