I wormed my chickens with Wazine. I know I cannot eat the eggs for 21 days but 3 of the hens are in with a roo. Can the eggs be safely hatched?
Hatching Question
I'm so glad you asked this question. I've wondered about that too.
Wazine wormer, should not be a problem for hatching eggs. There have been no specific noted effects with the product that is negative, except the recommendation against the use of eggs for human consumption...Hay
I pulled the first 7 days... just in case..
That is probably a smart choice, I read all the material I could find from the manufacturer, and thats where I got my info. Though I do like ZZ's precautionary measure...Hay
I don't think I will bother with the mutt eggs but I will put all the babtam eggs back with the hen and see if she will go broody. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
I don't know what caused it, but I once had a double chick that I took out of the egg not knowing there was a problem.. it was pipped for over 24 hours and still peeping. Ended up with 4 wings, 4 legs and one head. I am VERY careful on what I incubate now. :)
I put the eggs in with her and she started singing to them. In 10 minutes she was sitting on them. I thought it was too good to be true. It was. She had just sat there to lay another egg. LOL I'm going to leave them and see what happens.
