Sad News About Norfolk Gardens Female Eagle
I just received the news and checked if anyone had posted it. We have watched the Norfolk webcam faithfully for a number of years. She has been an extraordinary mother so it's a shame to lose her in a tragic accident. It will be interesting to see if the male picks up the responsibilities.
Very sad news and I agree that she was a wonderful mother. I just watched the Dad bring in a fish and he is feeding the eaglets...that is good news.
Glad to hear the male has brought in some food. And, to sort of balance the bad news here is news of a nest that has 4 Bald Eagle chicks, also in Virginia.

What a tragedy. I've been watching that nest for three years since Linth pointed us in its direction. If it had happened earlier in the season, when the chicks were still needing to be constantly brooded, it may have had an even worse outcome.
Yes I hope he is able to keep up with raising 3 chicks, It's going to be difficult. I was so sorry to read this news.
Missed seeing your link, Pelle. I have been updating the Eagle Cam link. The best decision was made, the father would have had a very difficult time supporting three young ones. Very sad.
