I decided to let my oregano and stevia bloom. Just wanted to see what the flowers look like. If the flower heads dry, there will be seed, yes? Can I then lop off the tops, collect the seeds and will the plants keep on growing? I've always just cut them back before flowering, as I've heard the leaves get bitter and are unusable if flowering. Thanks for some info on this. Janet
Some blooming herbs and questions
I am not sure about the stevia but yes, the oregano will continue to grow. Yes, there will be seed. Your oregano does stay in ground year around doesn't it?
Yes, most everything is perennial except parsley, dill, cilantro. Some I'm trying are new to me, so I'll see what survives the Houston summer! Thanks.
