Newly Registered Brug "La Femme Fatale"

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

This is one of my cultivars that goes back a couple of years. Many of you have seen the bicolored phase that it can go thru in cooler weather. She blooms and blooms and blooms....even when she sat at my front door and was neglected....she bloomed. Very sturdy cultivar with beautiful flowers. The cross is NOL x Painted Lady.....This girl has been around a while. She is being grown in several parts of the states so I know that she will do well across the board but more importantly she is a heat loving brug and is bug resistant.

I figured it is time to get her registered.....here she is "La Femme Fatale

Started with her first bloom today...lots of buds...that's why i figured i would get her registered. In the hotter weather she goes right into dark pink...really dark

This is my favorite shot from a couple of years ago...The cool weather staggers the maturity of the flush....i stared at her for hours when she looked like this

Really lovely. NOL and Painted Lady are two brugs I have that grow in full on sun and thrive here. Wonderful cross.

I remember the bi-color photo or something similar. Don't be surprised if it appears in a catalog by someone trying to sell a Brug that produces two colors. They might throw in a yellow one to make it three. She is lovely! Congratulations on registering it. I look forward to seeing it on sale.

'Painted Lady' blooms white to pink many times, also.
Seems those genetics came out in this one. Very nice, I love this trait :)

Here is my 'Painted Lady' blooming with both the white and pink.
