Anyone grow this TX native? I am thinking about ordering a couple but want to know how it actually fairs in the garden and what size it might get.

But this is only the second year, very pretty but not as strong as they Baldwinii.
The same plant but I think the one I was thinking of buying has gray leaves. I didn't realize they were that short, or do you think it might be a really different form? Is the bloom period as long as indicated on the NPIN site?

Not really, a lot of the time the bloom period is not as long as they say, they may be referring to bloom times in different areas.
