I live in South Florida (Zone 10) in a fairly wooded area. We have had some trees cut in our neighborhood over the past few months. While I have noticed less traffic at my bird feeder, we seem to have inherited a bird that chirps at night. Any idea on what type of bird this may be?
Bird that Chirps at Night
There is more than one bird that chirps at night. Did you happen to notice if it sings the same song over and over or different songs?
Mockingbirds are big night singers, so that could be it, but yes, as Duckmother says, it will help to ID if you can recall and describe the song.
I enjoy hearing the birds that sing at night. :)

I've been working at Fort Hood Tex at our motel we had House Finches and HOSP sing all night long every night. What ever you hear and see in day time at our place it was same birds. It will drive you crazy because they never hush.
