this is what this country girl wakes up to in the early spring. I am a bit further north than most of you...my grass is not yet as green and my trees haven't fully leafed out.
Butttttttttt, the yellow pond iris are beginning to bloom , and this is the view from my living area looking out over the back porch
Thank God, I am a country girl
It is truly beautiful, you are a lucky Girl!!!
That is devine! You should find someone to paint that in a picture for you - what an impressive view!
What a beautiful view. What do you have planted around your pond? My daughter has a pond that she sees from her living room but is afraid to plant anything around it because she has horses and one of them will eat just about anything green!
Stunning location. Good that you appreciate it so much.
Such a gorgeous view!!
So how did the storms last night treat you ,we just had lots of noise and some rain but I have heard that Atoka got tore up pretty bad..Our cable is still off so no news of the outside world so far..
SCARED US, BUT NO REAL DAMAGE.....THE IRIS ARE TAKING A BEATING TODAY, WINDS ARE AWFUL. i HAVE GARDEN CLUB VISITING HERE THIS AFTERNOON.......IF WE DON'T BLOW AWAY. SRY for the caps........
What a lovely place. It's your own bit of heaven. We bought 5 acres in the country and LOVE it. There is such peace when you're surrounded by beauty.

I never thought this city girl from Dallas/FT Worth would enjoy the country so much.
The peace, the beauty ,even the hard work of trying to garden , and the good people
I canned umteen jars of red plum jelly from plums picked from a friend's tree. Nearly 70 and the first time I have ever canned anything. I didn't do too bad if you don't count the huge mess I made of my kitchen (for days). My jelly is excellent, by the way. I did not have ant idea of the amount of sugar it take s to make jelly.....but my husband says it is as goo as Smucker's . Which my the way you can get a lot cheaper than I made it at Wat-mart.
