It has been so hot lately here, and the bugs are bad already. My bell peppers are turning yellow, the leaves are just turning yellow. I suspect aphids as there are many ant hills about and ants will carry aphids up to plants. I'm trying to stay organic; but don't know how much longer that will last before I get frustrated and pull out the big guns. I had to pull up my brandy wines, I had two of them in EBs, and lo and behold something ate the entire top off the plants. If it had of been a cut worm it would have at least left the plant right? So; I replaced the two brandy wines with mountain belles and hope nothing occurs to them. I also cannot believe what Walmart and Lowes is actually charging for plants this year, glad the local nursery isn't as expensive.

Strange weather
it's starting to get hot here as well, I was so hoping for a repeat of last springs cooler weather to help with bloom set. I've had aphids already on the peppers and have pulled out the dawn spray twice already.
I'm leaving day after tomorrow in the am to fly to TPlant's house, so, am leaving first thing Thursday morning and will be returning home Thursday night. I still have some tomatoes to transplant, some peppers and okra and eggplants. I'm lucky in a way that my plants are acting up now, as I can replace them with other ones at this stage in the game, later on it would be more difficult to do so. I cannot believe the prices Walmart and Lowes are charging for their plants in comparison to the nurseries around here!
