Help! Cat sprayed by skunk

I think the subject says it all. I'm don't think it was a direct hit, but enough...

It will be virtually impossible to give this cat a bath, any ideas? If I spray solution on or wet his fur, would it need to be washed off? This is a strong 12 pound cat, and (of course - what timing) I'm recovering from surgery & am not supposed to lift more than 10 pounds. My husband will help some, but he's terribly smell sensitive (& will start gagging, etc.) & I will need to do the bulk of the work.
