Good News!

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

I went to lunch today...and while I was waiting, a group of Code enforcement people came in...so I asked them: what about chickens, can we have them in the city?" He told me that he had heard, as long as no one complains about them, they have been instructed to ignore them.Cool! so now I just need to get a coop.I have a friend who is in the process of incubating eggs of Barred Rocks, Turkens, and Silkies...she says I can have some when they hatch.

WooHoo! Another chickenhead in the making.

Melvatoo, I'm tickled pink for you. There are so many laws that are not enforced cause they are so outdated. I am very happy they are smart enough to leave you and others alone on this matter. I hope you have a blast and I would love it if I could be there to help build you a coop to fill with your new babies. I am going to send you a dmail so be looking for it...Hay

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks every one! I am excited about this...I just need to position the coop so my neighbors to the south of me will not have reason to complain as they complain about everything!
I still want some of those pretty banties that I posted a picture of...Silkies, would be nice too.
