Frustrated trying to find reputable mealworm company online!

Hello all,

I tried contacting the Sunshine Mealworm Co (info from stick thread above) and nobody answers the phone or has e-mailed me back...

I also tried contacting the Grubco company and nobody answers their phone either.

Both have "the scoop" for reviews, but only 1 or 2 reviews for each and although positive, none within the past 12 months!!!!

HELP!!!! Where are ya'll who feed mealworms to your bluebirds and chickadees getting your worms from now?

There is a company called Bug Co, but we can't buy them there because they are wholesalers...GRRRRRR

Hi Susan, I would contact 2dCousinDave to see what he is using. I think he had to change suppliers in the last year or so.

I used Grubco, but made an online order.

I use Rainbow, have for a year now.

If you need a few in a pinch while your deciding on an online source, try a local pet shop or bait & tackle shop. I needed some quick last year for a young injured bluebird and found them at both places.

I used to purchase them on ebay, most have free shipping ( although you know it is included in the price. just make you fell better with that magic word free), Now I asked our local feed store about mealworms, They now carry live and dried. They did not realize how many people would buy them. They order continuously. try talking to you local feed store can't hurt.
