Best Bulb Poses

This is my first adventure with the Parrot tulip Estella Rynveld. The bulb came from Bulbs Direct, and I was very pleased with the results. Here she is:

Oh she is beautiful!! I have never seen or heard of a Parrot tulip Estella Rynveld she is very unusual in appearance and I'd like to stick my nose inside and see if she has a smell. Is this tulip the normal size of others? Today I saw alot of tulips in a yard that were tall. Your doing a great job and it seems that you have worked real hard this winter.

I love that one too but forgot to put any in last fall. I will miss them unless a few return. Tulip Division 9 - Parrot Estella Rijnveld. I will now remember to add them to my fall orders. Patti

Patti, Your Estella has less yellow in it than mine. Maybe it turns a truer white and red as it ages. I haven't grown this one long enough to know. You have a fine display.

Here is a picture of daffodil Wisley lit so the sky looks a bit dark behind it.

Your N. Wisley photo is Stunning! Mine are being a tad slower this year, but about to be out too.

Yes, Estella does tend to whiten up. I do have some shots in that phase, but I like her best when she looks like a can-can dancer in Red and White with that touch of purple.

One of my favorite Historic Narcissus is N. Mrs. Langtry. with her twisted petals. She is a poser. Patti

Patti,
I had that thought myself, about a can-can dancer. I'm glad I'm not the only one!

I have never heard of Mrs. Langtry before, but I will pay more attention next year. Its an interesting form.

Here is a picture of Bravoure. The petals remind me of the starched white I wore on Easter Sunday when I was little, but my bow tie was not butter yellow!

I have been so busy with bulbs that I have hardly had time for bulb pictures. Here is Delft Blue with a grape hyacinth.
