Just Great!!!!

battling Pain, Coyotoes and Rats already and now I just look out the window and see a beautiful Red Fox running my domestic ducks into the pond. Both my geese are brooding fake eggs in the pen. So happy it didn't go in there as I leave the door open so they can go to the pond if they want. This place never ceases to amaze me. have been here 5 1/2 yrs now and the fist time I have seen a Fox. I swear chickens must be predator magnets because I had my exotic ducks down by the pond for 3 1/2 yrs before hubbie had my new one built up by the house. The geese and domestic ducks are in the old cage by the pond. Never saw a coyotoe before getting the chickens either

Is this pup time for foxes??? Just wondering how much of a problem I am going to have with it

I don't know anything about foxes, but I do agree with you that chickens really do attract a lot of different kinds of predators. Hope you have a great spring-summer and that relentless pain goes away for you...Hay

Foxes have their kits in early to mid April here, it may be earlier for you, so it would be safe to asume that if it is a female, he has kits. If it is a male, it may be passing through.

all I can say was it had a orange back, head, and a big orange and white bushy tail,
I'm afraid it is not just passing through. My dogs have been sniffing the air the last few night and Poo's does her little aggressive stanch and barks out in the middle of the yard. I just figured it was coyotes. I always clap my hands and cough to scare off the coyotes when I take the girls out since they grabbed Spaz right at the corner of my front porch last year
