Today while on the phone with another DG'er I kept hearing a small dog barking. Since Pita doesn't bark often I didn't realize it was her until I stuck my head out the back door to see what was going on.
When I glanced out the back door I saw Pita on a bag on leaves DH had gathered this weekend doing her best to push the recycling bin aside to get at something between the bin and fence. I assumed (from past experience) it was a small bird or squirrel she had cornered and was trying to play with, not knowing she was terrorizing the poor thing..well that wasn't the case! She had cornered a snake! Needless to say the neighbors heard a shrink and if they happened to glance across the fence a nice view of just how high these short stubby lill legs can jump!
As embarrassing as it is to admit....The husband was called with instructions to hot foot it home and kill the beast! All the while Zapita was going crazy trying to be let outside to "get" the snake. I have no idea if it was a good, bad, or other type of snake..
Anyone have an idea what it is?
