Can anyone ID this bromeliad?

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I recently purchased this plant from the Mercer Arboretum March Mart. Unfortunately, the woman who was "manning" the bromeliads/orchids section only put the price on it - there was no identifying plant marker, and at the time I didn't think to ask her what, exactly, it was (I was too taken with the gorgeous flower!).

The flower, in this photo, has started to fade, so it's not at peak beauty. But, hopefully, it still looks good enough for someone to be able to ID it for me. I thought it might be Billbergia elegans but the leaves are different.

Thanks so much!

Definately a Billbergia. IMHO as to species or hybrid it's virtually impossible to id (there are hundreds of look alikes, maybe thousands, and different culture=different look).

Thanks, Dave! :) I guess I won't worry about trying to get any other name for it. I'll just call it Sophie. LOL
