These are all over the Southeastern United States particularly in the Carolinas as an old fashioned spring landscaping plant, that was sold along with daffodils; so where you see daffodils blooming on older properties here in the Carolinas and the Southeast, you are probably sure to have these. They come up the same time the daffodils come up but they actually bloom about a week after the daffodils start to decline in the beginning of mid spring. They are actually a bulb, but part of the amaryllis family, not the daffodil family bulbs. i like how dark green and healthy the leaves look. the flowers are almost like lily of the valley bells. Very Historic Southern Spring Bulb and Plant. mike.
Leucojum aestivum 'Southern Dew Drop' or ,Snow Bell,
They are blooming away in my yard.
This is the first year that several people corrected me and said, "They're call snowflake, not snowdrop." Whatever. :) We have an older home and there is a nice drift of them out front. They're very cute, I like them a lot.
Snowdrops don't have the cute little green spots.
