Hi all, I am very new to av's and am wondering what a trailer is! Also I would really love to try to start some by leafs as I just can affors to by many of the plants, so can anyone tell me if they think it is ok to buy just leafs from ebay and if so who is a good seller!! Thanks so much!!

An african violet makes one center which keeps growing and the outer leaves get old and should be remove. - occasionally - you can get 'suckers" other centers forming and these should be remove.
A trailer habitually makes more centers/rosettes and these "trail" around the main center and thus form a large plant.
Example "Rob's Pilly Lilly" being a miniature trailer.
I can send you some leaves to start you off - address please ! I just ordered some plants from e-bay Jacks African Violets, Nice plants. Never got leaves of E-bay just from other Vendors, such as Lyndon Lyon and Rob's Violet Barn and others

Lisa - it's good to know you're interested in trailers. Now I know which plant to send you for my half of our trade! (2 out of 6 of the luffa seeds have sprouted, so I'll be putting those in a pot this weekend!). I'll send you a small rooted plant of Rob's Humpty Doo . . . Nichole
