I bought one of these last year and liked the small size. I want 3 more (last one did not over winter for me) but am having trouble finding a source. Last years plant was from HD. Also are there any other dark leaved varieties that do not grow huge?

Looking for EE Kona Coffee plants
I believe Plant delights and Home depot have this variety and that is all. I have released a new hybrid called Colocasia Madeira which stays around 2 to 4 feet tall usually larger the first year and then staying shorter the following seasons. It is much cold hardier than others. I have over wintered it in zone 6 now with little protection for 9 years.
I loved my Kona Coffee too, but it didn't survive the winter. I got it from a small local nursery called Caldwell Nursery in Rosenberg, Tx. I'm not sure I'll replace it.
I am going to dig mine up in the fall and bring them in under lights. I think they will survive the winter inside if I remove most of the leaves and don't over water. I don't usually move any plants that are in ground but these might be worth it.

C my home depot here has some for around $10. Let me know if you need one for sure and I'll pick one up for you and bring it to the RU.
I just found a Kona for ten dollars at Home Depot. Yeah!
Oh I need to start looking for those today! Thanks for the heads up.
