CLOSED: Wanted: Music themed plants in honor of my son's first CD

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

My son's first professional CD "Elevator Madness" by Justin Black was just released this month. In his honor, I want to create a music themed garden that includes various plants with a music theme, like a "Johnny Cash daylily", an "Achy Breaky Heart bearded Iris", etc. (I have a video of him singing "Achy Breaky Heart" when he was about 6 yrs old. Soo cute!!)

Any help you can give me to create a garden celebrating my son's dream come true would be much appreciated! He's wanted to sing all his life and has played in bars around Nashville where he met his Irish wife. He ended up in Northern Ireland where he continued to follow his dream. And now at age 26, he finally has his first CD produced and released! He has never wanted to do anything else, only his music. He taught himself to sing and to play the guitar and piano, and writes his own songs. You can find him on facebook. Justin Black--that's my boy!!

Do y'all have any music themed plants to trade? I have the following to trade right now:

I have these daylilies. One trade is one Double Fan (DF) unless otherwise stated below with TF (Triple Fan):

You can look these daylilies up in the database at http://www.tinkersgardens.com to see what they look like and how tall they get. If you need to see some that aren't shown there, let me know and I'll post pics from my gardens here.

Darius
Whooperee
Black Plush - TF
Pink Ballerina
Pirate Lord
Well All Right
Duke of Durham
Kecia
Siloam Ethel Smith
Wineberry Candy (pictured below)
Sea of Stars
Hudson Valley - TF
Happy Retuns - TF
Franz Hals - TF

Other Plants:

Physosteia - Purple Obedient plant, False Dragonshead

Saponaria - Pink Soapwort

Spice Mint

Blackberry Mint

Lemon Balm

Because it's early in the season, some fans may be rather small. Happy Returns is a small plant anyway (only a foot or so tall when full grown), so its fans look minute right now. But the root systems should be good and healthy.

I'm looking for plants that are hardy in zone 7. I don't do tropicals, annuals, seeds or cuttings.

Thank you for any plants you can trade with me for this celebration of my only child.

Congratulations! I'm doubly thrilled for your son. It has to be a great feeling to have his dream come true.

Thanks y'all. We're both so excited! He headed for Nashville as soon as he graduated from high school. He had no desire to do anything but music. Here he is singing in a bar in Nashville. It might be Tootsies. I got the opportunity to go see him wow the crowd once. It was amazing! They loved him. He's so in his element when he's on stage.

Thanks, everyone. Y'all can follow him on Facebook and tell him his mama is bragging about her baby to everyone who'll listen. LOL

Is it too early to trade? Or do I have nothing anyone wants? I'll have more plants I'm sure. It's just been too wet to get too far into my gardens. Finally today it's not raining.

Sundance, WY(Zone 3b)

LOL! You have some great plants! So happy that you are getting some nice weather, and can't wait for it to get here! We have had snow and rain for the week, and it's still snowing, and supposed to for a few more days :-(
I so want to be able to get outside and play in the yard and gardens. C'mon spring! Old Man Winter, enough already! GO AWAY!

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

You have such loooooong winter in Zone 3, skellogg. Don't you wanna move south? Even in zone 7, I dont' think I'm south enough. I have a great idea! Let's pack up and move to Hawaii!! :-)

Sundance, WY(Zone 3b)

LOL! And the anticipation gets to me every year, waiting and wondering what winter killed, and if I will have any plants left come spring. Spent most of my life here, so I know that things live in this weather, but I can't help but wonder every year, lol! Course, it doesn't help that I tend to zone push, and I always find something new to plant every year, so always wonder about the new stuff. You people have WAY too many bugs for me. Yuck! And way too many snakes too, lol! But it sure was nice visiting Hawaii thru Al's pictures on his vacation. And I loved that Hawaiian coffee! Yummmmy!

I can see why you're so proud of your son. He's also on 'YouTube'!

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

Yes, my baby is a You Tube star too! I downloaded his videos. Wish he'd come home and give us a personal concert. He does Johnny Cash, Tim McGraw and Garth Brooks so well!

Omega, GA

How cool!!!!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

I might have some Musical Note Clerodendron for trade in a couple of months if interested. Here is a link to the plant I have.

Hi Brandon, that's beautiful, but unfortunately it's not hard here, darn it! I need to move further south! Thank you for the offer, but I'll have to pass. If you come up with something else that will survive winter in zone 7, let me know.
