You can do it,I have confidence in you!!!just don't let my peacocks near them, that's what happen to all mine "SNIP"

oh no! maybe you can keep one inside. I will probably have to trade this off when they get bigger, seedlings are easy:)

Awwww... Little baby sanguineas. I ordered some sanguinea seeds from Valley Grow. I'm bound and determined to have one. I hope a have the good germination you've had.

Good luck with them tiG. I know you'll be able to grow them.

tiG,
they are so cute. :)

Hey tiG - did you soak those seeds before you planted them? I just got mine in the mail today. I noticed they're quite different from other brug seeds. I'm positive now that the seeds I planted last winter were not sanguinea. I can tell just by lookin at them.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I soaked them for 48 hours. I did peel these after soaking, they aren't as fresh as Eric's. Only a couple of empty seed pods. I did just peel the outer layers, not all the way down to the bean.

The ones I got from valleygrow look different. They almost look like segments to an orange. They don't have the brown husk-ish stuff on them. Is that how yours were?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

mine look like that too. After you soak them you'll see that you can take a layer or two off without hurting them. Some I did peel to the bean, but not if they seemed like they wanted to fight:) Almost 100% germination on those after 9 days and the mixed hybrids are coming up too.
Checked my journal and I only soaked these 24 hours.

I checked your journal out too. Quite a collection you've got going! What are you gonna do when all those seedlings get big?? -LOL- I'll be in the same boat. I'm gonna hold off on starting the seeds until after Christmas when I can set my lights up.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I'm gonna trade them!!! :) Except for some of the aureas, I'm going to hybridize them. I wanted to wait on the brug seeds, but they do best as fresh as possible, so I went ahead and started them now. I need to get some bt for gnats, so I'm armed if and when they start.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I've already got gnats. I bought some of those mosquito dunks. I've toss one in my watering can for a few minutes before I water. It seems to be helping - I'm just trying to keep from drowding my plants.

for your inside plants? it works on fungas gnats? might can pick some up on a summer clearance.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Yes - they're made from BT and kill mosquito larvae. It's cheaper than the fancy solutions they sell. I had a terrible time with gnats last year. I hoping to nip them in the bud this year... so to speak.

got some growing about the same size. I am thinking they should do good out side until spring and maybe will have to bring them in and keep the a/c on to make them think there in the mountains......lol

my thoughts exactly!!!!
