TO GARDEN OR NOT TO GARDEN?

OK! Today I see my surgeon pertaining to my extremely painful and almost useless right arm and shoulder afflicted with a very serious rheumatoid arthritis. My left shoulder is almost as bad but manageable. The vicadin helps and so does the celebrex but I still must have surgery which requires bone grafts from some other part of my body. (I didn't ask FROM WHERE?) but if I am violating any off subject rule I will stop posting
This is my favorite thread and I'd like to keep you all up to date and kind of lean on you for support so to speak. Before my surgery I will plant my watermelon seeds as they require little care and will still be here to answer questions if I may be so privileged to do so? My appointment is at 2:30pm today and I'll let you know all.

Feel free to post here as I know you are gonna feel better and if you don't plant something you will feel worse. From someone who did not plant for 2 years and was miserable. Plants make you feel better.

Please do, even tho I don't post much these days I do read and you come up often in my day to day conversations with other DG'ers as well as my husband.

Thank You all again! You are wonderful people! Well I just got home a short time ago and the surgery is on... My surgeon will call me back this evening or tomorrow for the date. Personally I was concerned because of my past heart problems and so was he but now we do not have a choice. The hospital that I will be sent to is an excellent hospital and I am well known there (LOL) because of my past medical history. The name is Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Fl. The staff there and at all three of our major hospitals are really superb and have treated me just great so I have no fears.
To be able to work in my garden again will be just fantastic although it will be on a limited basis. Let you know when he calls.....

TPlant: Don't push yourself, and get your rest, we want you to stick around for a long, long time. I wish I could come down now; but, can't and will be there on the 14th.

Just missed the surgery call this morning but will call back after lunch. They left a call on my recording but did not leave a surgery date. Will call back after lunch and let you know.

My surgery date is April 27 and they are sending me a list of requirements prior to surgery. Wish it was sooner?
