Is this acorn squash still good to eat? I've stored it in a crawl space with an average temp in the 50-60F's and humidity in the 30-40%'s since last Fall. It feels solid and has minimal blemishes. I understand they are called winter squash, but it's been six month in storage.
Acorn Squash Storage Life
If it hasn't molded or rotten it should be safe to eat. Acorns tend to be short term store squash ie a few months.
I just baked one that had been in the root cellar 6 months. It was a bit pithy, but still tasty. Mine are usually all consumed by 3-4 months, but apparently I missed this one!
