any northerners hauling out their tropicals on good days?

Provo, UT(Zone 5a)

its starting to "sort of" feel like spring here.. so ive been hauling out my
EE,cymbidiums,bananas on sunny warmish days..
they seem to get a head start on growing..and im sure the natural light
helps them alot..
does anyone else do this..? or am i the only crazy one? my neighbors wonder
about the tropical jungle that shows up outside every spring for short burts..... LOL

When I lived in Missouri, zone 5b, I moved all my tropicals out on Easter Sunday ie late March/early April, but was ready to cover them, should the cold weather return.

I sure do enjoy gardening 10 months of the year - beats the 6 months I had in Missouri!

Keaau, HI

I grew up in the north, but can't handle cold weather.

Here in upcountry Hawai'i, it never gets very hot or cold.

The only drawback to living in the country in Hawai'i, is there is no economy.

Being self sufficient is a good trait for living here.

open land.. youre fortunate to live where u do..
its gotten cold here.. again..sigh.. actually suppose to snow .. and "they" said it was to warm up..
sigh.. we take what we get.. :)

Not yet for me. We're still in the teens to 20's at night and barely get to 50 days. Winter just will not let go!
