Monika Gottschalk's SOMMERZAUBER

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

This is Sommerzauber. It's a Monika Gottschalk cross of Fandango x KBS...excellent warm weather brug having done well for several growers here in florida. Color can vary from yellow to orange depending on the weather condition...supposedly she gets darker in the cooler temps.. Blooms are large and fragrance is a mild citrusy scent

I get the best colour here November -December when nights are cold and days still sunny and warm.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3a)

Theres a discussion on GW about this lovely one. I like the different colours it is capable of. I hope it makes its way to Canada eventually. Beautiful photographs!

Is it possible to buy one from a grower in Florida and how would I find out who that would be.
Thank you.

The ones that have been on on ebay are grown and shipped from a florida grower...a very reliable grower

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

I just got mine. I bought it from "beloved" on e-Bay, but it was shipped from Florida. It was so well packed that it arrived with 2 buds just about to open.

mine is just about to bloom again...she's dropping a few skirts....it's just been so darn hot....i would be surprised to see any color at all

Here she is blooming again. I'm seeing bright yellows early in the morning and more of an Apricot later in the day.......These pics were taken 2 hours apart.....Fascinating brug to grow...not to mention beautiful too

You are doing fantastic with Sommerzauber Gary, and she is proven to the non Believers she is definitely a Florida well growing Brug considering the 90F temperatures you been having, very nice flush. It is also great that you are showing her color variation.

Great color!. My two flowers finally opened. I looooooved them. I don't know why I didn't take a photo. When it gets large enough to prune, I'd like to try growing it in the ground for at least one season.

mine is in the ground

It's fascinating to see which brugs love to colour in the heat and which ones colour better in the milder temps.
It's like putting a jig saw puzzle together.

That's a beautiful Brug you have there :)
