Operation Rescue

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Today when changing the chickens waterers and flooding the rat whole I saw something through the ground wire outside the cage in a little whole filled with water from the run off. I was able to lift one piece the the other piece was to close to the cage and had to be cut
9 baby turtles. I wonder how long ago those eggs were laid??? and so very far away from my pond.

I put them on the ground about 2' from the pond next to a log so they can make their on decision lol

probably what they are PP.

They are so lucky I saw them. I don't know how long they had been under the wire. Probably not more than a week or less. I change the waters twice a week and flood any rat holes I see. Have seen 2 snakes by the coops already and only 2 rats so maybe the return of the snakes will help keep the rats out. As long as they are non poisonous I am o.k. with it
