Brugmansia 'Lady Marmalade

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

Does anyone know if this brug. is still in circulation?

Thanks, Patricia

Lee's Summit, MO(Zone 6a)

Patricia, I did a google.com search and found one DG member who MAY have it:

TomH3787 (http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5720169)

Also, contact Alice Harris (Abutilon here on DG) and ask her - she should know.

Hugs, Jo

Thanks, Kay.
I have many brugmansia .. old and new .. but not that one.
Perhaps Tom has it.
It's very pretty :)

I did see that the picture I saw was posted by Tom. I just haven't seen him on here much but I will post a message for him and give it a try. Thanks, Kay and Alice.

I remember this one from BGI days....it was such a pretty shade of orange/yellow that it cause quite a flurry of interest....that was just before "the little monkeys" hit the scene...then all of a sudden we had a bunch of hardy brugs in that color pallet.....i never heard about Lady Marmalade again...personally i never owned this one and i don't believe it was ever widely distributed

It is just such a shame that so many brugs. get named and then they just diappear. I did hear back from Tom and he no longer has it.

Maybe you could email BGI and ask if anyone has one.

I would have to say that if you are having a such hard time finding anyone that is still growing this cultivar there must be a reason....

Watertown, NY

I think that was Cindy's (from Peach Tree City, Georgia) had it, I remember her posting pictures several years ago Patricia.

Gary is probably right , I just thought I would try to find it but it may have gone by the wayside.

Susie French was the hybridizer. You might try contacting her. She used to post quiet a bit in the vegetable forum — Calalily.

Betty, I had no idea Susie created this beauty - she's a really talented gal!!!

Watertown, NY

Susie created many wonderful brugs. I remember when I first started growing them many where hers.

Lee's Summit, MO(Zone 6a)

Many, MANY years ago, Susie sent me my first brugs - I will always be grateful to her for that. She's a wonderful, kind and generous Christian woman, a true blessing in my life!

I have still one of her unamed seedlings she gave me way back when. I named it 'Susie'.
An aurea type like 'Bert' but more cream. Another on it's way back from the big freeze last year. I am happy it made it :)
I never has this one from her, but a number of others ..yes.

I haven't found a B. Lady Marmalade but Teresa in Calif. did give me a B. Pacific Monarch. Do any of you remember anything about this brug. I haven't been able to find any information on it doing a search.

Lee's Summit, MO(Zone 6a)

Patricia, I did a google.com search and found only a picture:

Patricia,
I found a bit more information at BGI.
Pod parent = Butterfly
Pollen parent unknown
Hybridizer = Mary Voss
Seedling parent = Jeremiah Vino
Released in 2006

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

I did see this information when I searched. I was hoping to possibly find some old posts about how this one grew or if it had problems.
I don't think it has been circulated me in some time though
