I still have to plant my okra, cucumber and crookneck yellow squash seeds and I grow them in my seed starting kits and then transfer the startings when they are big enough into my EBs, has anyone started theirs yet? I am thinking they don't get started til April????

Anyone in zone 8, close to Pensacola FL started these yet?
Hey Joy,
Some of my squash are already setting fruit while others are just now sprouting. I do think it is too early for okra. Ours have always been a disappointment when I've transplanted them. Maybe you can wait a week or two and just sow them in the EB?. Every year is so different. I have 'maters blooming along side of my peas this year. Very strange.
Good luck.
Aquannie: I decided to seed start my cukes, okra and crook neck yellow squash this weekend. The weather here is so nice; but, I know we will get one more freeze around Easter, of course, like you say, I gave away about 5 nice size tomato plants last night; and have about 30 more that are almost big enough to transplant. I had started mine in waves, so that I didn't have to plant all of them at the same time. Spring came really fast this year for me, and I'm having to get out there double time now. LOL
