Help ID Weed or Plant

Rockport, TX

Last fall I got a start from a friend in South Texas, we live in the DFW area, and this Spring the weed/plant came up volunteer. It has no smell and seems to spread fast. Before I eradicate thinking this is a weed, I would like to make sure that I am not removing something wonderful. Your help will be appreciated. Additional photos to follow.

What you have is White Avens a very nice groundcover that is almost evergreen and native to this area.

Thank you for your reply. I have attached another photo. I have done several hours of research trying to identify this plant. It shows no sign of flowers. It looks very close to feverfew. If it is White Avens, would it look right in a bed with iris, hosta and strawberries? I looked up the White Avens and it reminds me of a weed. Just not sure how to handle this new addition to my bed.

Well, now that you show the whole plant it does look a little different, here is another picture of White Avens. http://wildflower.org/gallery/result.php?id_image=22631

Thank you again. There are so many plants/weeds that look very close to this one coming up in my bed. I guess I will pull some and leave some so I can see what they do during the summer.
Your help is appreciated.

You are welcome Cindy, but remember, a plant is a weed only if you don't want it.
