Plant for shady hanging pot?

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

It looks like the little ivy I had in a hanging pot for the past couple of years finally bit the dust during the last cold spell. Anyone have any suggestions for a good plant or plants for a hanging pot in quite dark shade? Something that drapes down is always nice, of course, and flowers are a bonus. Native would be the icing on the cake. Does such a plant exist?

I always get a hanging basket of Boston fern to hang on my shady porch. It does well, is easy care, and looks good I think. Of course there is always airplane plant. Those can be lovely.

potato vine, esp the tri color is nice although not winter hardy. I love Bolivian jew (will find a pic) but also will die , although just a couple of cuttings will tide you over to spring. I have some if you want.

Thanks for all the suggestions! My dad actually has a bunch of the bolivian jew that he got at the last RU. I may try a few snips of that mixed in with something a bit taller.
