I have recently purchased some AV's. I had them quite some time ago and am just getting back into them.
I have Schultz liquid African violet fertilizer that is quite old. Do the liquid fertilizers loose their strength overtime? Should I just toss the fertilizer and start new or do you think it is ok to use this fertilizer?
Fertilizers
I am not sure, but from what I have read powdered fertilizer does not go bad,but liquid can separate and even have chemical changes, especially if it is not stored in the proper temperatures. You could email Schultz and ask them.

That was what I was thinking.... probably just better to toss it and buy new. I believe the rest of my fertilizers are all powders.
Thank you for your input.
You're welcome.It might be fine,but if it's really old,better safe than sorry.
Lynn
I agree. The trick is to remember to pick it up while I am out ^^_^^
LOL You sound like me ^_^. Cute Angel.
Carolyn, if you dmail me your address, I will put a small packet of AV food in an envie for you. It's in a 2"x3" baggie, but it's got like 3tsp in it. It doesn't sound like alot, but when you only use 1/4 tsp per gallon, it can last a long time. The n-p-k count on it is 12-36-14.

thank you so much! Sending you a dmail.
