Its that time of year again for the Dixie African Violet Society Convention. It will be in Ocala Florida next week. March 16-19. More info on their website. I made this quilt-throw for a donation for raffle or auction. It turned out pretty good. I won't be able to go this year. I'll be leaving to visit Md tomorrow....no internet access, oh well.
Dixie AV Convention-Ocala Gala
Oh, Tish!!! That is just gorgeous. That should help bring in some bucks!! Great work :)

That is amazing! One of our club members made a stained glass and another a large, framed crocheted doily with violets. Wish I could be there.
Thank you! I really enjoyed making it. I wouldn't make a lavender quilt for myself, but I loved the colors.
Dixie had some really nice things donated last year too. Our club helped host it and I was helping the lady in charge of the donations. I thought I heard that the National convention may be in AL a couple years from now...I don't know if it was nominated or accepted.
It's just beautiful Tish!

Our members were talking about the possibility of the national convention in Alabama, but no one seemed to know anything. I'd love that!
Tish--your quilt is so beautiful!!! The colors are stunning!
Tish: That quilt is really beautiful ... great job, I love the color and the pattern!
I always thought I'd like to learn to quilt but I've never had much patience, and the older I get the less I seem to have. My sister sent me a quilt /throw for my birthday (not one she made, she ordered it from theamazingquilter.com. but it got me to thinking maybe I should dig out the old sewing machine and try a machine sewed quilt ... maybe start with a small lap quilt or something ... but knowing me I lose interest in a short time and it would end up as another unfinished project stuffed in a closet somewhere. ^_^
I do admire those of you with the patience and especially the talent to create something so nice!
