I repotted my galangal and didn't realize it was totally rootbound in the 18" pot it was growing! So, I have about 6-7 big "chunks" of galangal if anyone lives near here and wants to pick it up. Galangal is similar to ginger--the root is used in Thai cooking. I think I read it takes about 4 years to be ready. I'm trying to see if it will bloom like ginger this year.
