All the community garden work I read here has had me wondering what project I could take on. Then I thought about the fruit trees at a local church. There are about 10 fruit trees lining the driveway up to the church parking lot. Each year I see these trees bear their fruit so abundantly and so ignored. The fruit falls to the ground and rots. They are also in need of some shaping. It would be a pretty small first project to go to the church and offer to "garden" those trees and, and in the fall, harvest the fruit. What are some ideas to keep in mind as I decide who I should approach and how to approach.
