I started growing plumeria from seed about 3 or 4 years ago. Today I took them out of the greenhouse to let them get fresh air and a little sunlight. ( alot of them are breaking dormancy now) and 1 has formed a V. Are plumerias like brugs in that they will bloom only after they form the V branch.?
Thanks for your help.

Question about my Plumeria.
I don't the answer to your question Linda. But I understand that a seedling could mature and make flowers in roughly 4-5 years. How old are yours?
Some are between 3 and 5 years old. I am sure hoping for a bloom this year.
Best of lucks. The flowers are so beautiful, it's worth the wait.
plumies do not need to from a V to bloom. most often, plumies will not branch until they bloom or a tip is damaged. however, plumeria seedlings will branch spontaneously. that is why yours has branched. hopefully, you will see blooms soon!
tucsonplumeriaz is spot on. I remember, after the old inflo. is finally spent, new branches will sprout from that juncture. :)
Thanks so much. I appreciate the info.
