Here is Fisherman's Paradise
What's bloomin' at your house?
Those are all so pretty, Melanie. Your home must be full of sunshine and smiles.
Connie
Nothing is blooming at my house right now . . . keeping my plants disbudded . . .but quite a few of my starter plants are getting buds . . . I'll let those bloom, of course!
Meag -
what kind of camera are you using? I am having difficulty picking up that kind of detail on my AV pics.
Carolyn, You just don't know how long I have tried to get good pictures!! LOL!! Someone on another forum gave me a hint two days ago, and I haven't stop taking pictures yet.
If you camera has a sports setting (mine has a childrens setting) use it. You can still get close up but none of the blur. I would have never thought to use that setting. Try it...it works.
Melanie
Melanie,
Your violets are just gorgeous!!

I do and I probably ought to double check the setting it is on, just to be sure. Generally I keep it on the children and pets setting.
What gets me is that I have been able to take nicely detailed photos of other flowers, even dragonflies, so would think an AV would be a peice of cake, wouldn't you?
I'll try again.... thanks for the heads up.
Your photos are gorgeous! Do you fertilize?
The third violet pictured is Optimara Rhapsodie Cora.
I've got a couple of them.
Lovely painting on the watering can!
Sally

Gorgeous Jamie!!
just gorgeous, gorgeous, wish I was nearby I'd by some need to get some newbies. Helene
Holy cow -- those are gorgeous, Jamie!
I'm glad to see you back around Helene. Been thinking of you lately.
Have a few "bloomers" around here as well. I'll try to post some pics later.

Thanks everyone and it means a lot to hear a compliment from the pros who have grown thousands (literally). Your NOID is so pretty the way the flower color plays off the pink variegation. Someone brought a pink to our last club meeting for help identifying and everyone was at a loss.
I didn't even try to id her, most likely her wasn't even registered. But I'd love to add some red or purple to the flower color, wouldn't she be cool? just have to find a nice parent pollen for her... Am I getting some pollination fever? lol
I tried crossing once, but didn't get seed. How do you do it?
