Going through the collection, looking at descriptions. Most were grown from leaves ordered from violetbarn or reedsgreenhouse. So many have not bloomed true! Did I mislabel somewhere, or what? Is this common? These are suppose to be Rob's denim demon. They look like single-sdbl red-purple frilled/white-green edge and quilted red-back dark green leaves.
Need i.d help, please
Hi Jamie,
The following is what the AVSA shows as a description for Rob's Denim Demon:
Rob's Denim Demon (7558) 10/28/1991 (R. Robinson) Double dark blue. Crown variegated dark green, gold and tan, quilted, pebbled, glossy. Semiminiature
Both photos they have show very definite double flowers. Hope this helps a little.

Jamie,
I am sure it's not Denim Demon.Maybe checking with Rob's or Reeds will help.

I'm fairly positive that these grew from leaves sold to me as Denim Demon. Oh, well- they are now beautiful NOIDs that will make lovely gifts for my daughter's teachers. Thanks for the help.
That happens. You just hope you get a plant you like after waiting eons for a leaf to become a plant and bloom. It is also hard to id a plant because photographed colors often do not match actual plant colors.

My droid camera is not so great. It only has one setting.
Even expensive cameras and more professional photographers have a problem getting some shades of color correct...the av petals have a reflectiveness that causes this. Its a good reason plant shows are so great, you get to see the real flowers, so much better than pictures, but there is also the lighting that can change a flower color...grown under lights or window light can change a color bloom as well.
