CLOSED: Lark Bunting?

Lakeland, FL

Okay, I probably won't get a 100% confirmation but maybe I will.

These two photos were taken this morning in central florida. It made all the same calls (songs) that I heard on whatbird.org I "guessed" at the lark because of the white side in the second photo.

Anyone?

Also, there were several of them in the tree with a few in another tree. I understand they travel in flocks.

Looks like a Brown-headed Cowbird to me. Larks are normally out west.

We'll see.

That's pretty close, but this bird was a little smaller, and had that pretty song.

One of the reasons I mentioned it was because it was in my "Birds of Florida" book under casual visitors. So I thought I would give it a try.

Definitely Brown-headed Cowbird. Sorry!
