The bird looks like he is a Flasher. I was bike riding and stopped to take a photo.He was stuck in this pose. Is it a Blue Heron?

Resin knows better - for some reason it doesn't look like Blue Heron - the wide black areas on side of head. Or it can be molting? There's bare spots on its shoulders.

It is a Great Blue Heron; in sunbathing pose with its feathers fluffed out to maximise sun exposure. That's probably why the black on the side of the head looks more than usual.
