Anyone know about these or better yet grow one?

Echeandia texensis
It is in the plant files here, looks prettty, but may need altitude, I didn't ck plantfiles. have got to get rest tonite, and start the work world again in the am, sigh, feeling very old, very slow, chuckle, like concrete settin up with this cold. winter will be gone very soon now, but the winds still have to blow...
Sold by yucca do so I might email and ask if it can take the heat.

Yucca do replied today and said that plant can take heat, might make an interesting addition to the fall blooming garden. I did see its pretty large though.

I had the impression that dampness was more an issue than altitude or heat. They have some at the Wildflower Center here in a naturalized area, but if I'm remembering right it's at the top of a slope - should be well drained (and plenty alkaline).
They are a little rangy, but if that suits your landscaping, they have plenty of cheery flowers.
Let us know...
It's size might be an issue for me. I like grassy plants but will have to decide if I have a good place for it.
