Has anyone's Episcia 'Pink Smoke'

Northeast, MO(Zone 5b)

Has anyone's Episcia 'Pink Smoke' ever reverted? I thought Pink Smoke was a pretty stable variegation but mine has started to revert to solid green with a "hint" of pink overtone. Crazy...I know. A few of the leaves that are still variegated have a very strong metallic looking green on them. Very pretty, I might add :) I would add a pic of it right now but the camera's battery is dead as a door nail (or the camera is) LOL!!

Hi Sis,
I almost lost my Pink Smoke.I saved 2 little pieces. One came up almost white and the other all green. The white one is now reverting back to it's normal variegation.I can take a picture if you want to see it.

I will send you a d-mail after the camera battery charges. Panicked thinking I left the battery and charger and daughter's house. Found it in my purse that I rarely use LOL!!! Anyway, yes...please d-mail me a pic and I will give you more info in my d-mail later when I send you a couple of pics.

Thanks for answering, Sis!!

Yep, part of mine reverted. I can't bring myself to kill plants, so I cut off the reverted part and use it to cover the soil in a large philodendron.

Thanks for letting us know, Celene. Just out of curiosity...is the reverted part staying the same or do you see any changes in it? I have one piece that reverted and the new baby leaves have a little more variegation in them.

Mine stayed pinky-greeny-grey, but not variegated at all. The rest of the plant is the normal color.

Thanks. My biggest piece is green with a pink overtone which sounds like yours but no variegation. I have a few leaves that have a metallic green where the light green was on a few leaves. It just surprises me because Pink Smoke has been more stable than the others.

For the most part, my Pink Smoke has been very stable. One weird stolon after three years is pretty good, IMO. Ember Lace reverts really often, I've pretty much given up on it.

The picture Connie sent me of her Episcia looks a lot like Ember Lace, kind of half gray/half pink. Here is what mine did.

That is a neat picture Lynn. I purchased an NOID episcia in a hanging basket last fall and rooted several cuttings in a pot. This is it now. It hasn't bloomed. I was wondering if this could be 'Pink Smoke'. Any thoughts?

Jamie,
I think so,but I need to look around a bit. There are a few that look very close to each other.

I'll try to remember to post a pic of the flowers (when, if) it blooms. Thanks!

There are a few that resemble it,but after looking here I am pretty sure it is Pink Smoke.
