Nah, women are much more practical about unnecessary stuff than men are! It's men who buy the trucks, cars, appliances with all the extra bells and whistles; women just want something that works. (That might not apply to chickens though.)
I totally agree, except when it comes to chickens. ten times as many women keep chickens than men do. More women have chickens by far in their homes than men do. There are seven women for every man on byc. Wanna bet...LOL...Hay

I agree with both of you. The majority of chicken owners are women and the majority of those chickenheads would never spend that much for any chicken. Don't you wish you could find out who, if anyone, actually buys one of those birds?
Well sure makes me feel better for spending as much as I have! LOL I'm over the obsession part now, and can settle down and just enjoy them.. I would never spend that kind of money though.. and I can safely say never in this case, cause it's an orpington! LOL

the 5000 bids are from a man Jon Burton. He sells chickens. I guess he thinks he can make his money back off them. I would take the cue that only a few people have bid and only a few hundred dollars at best. He'll never make his money back
