I've recently started seeing this bird around the feeders. Finally caught a picture of it, although I know it's not that great. Is this a Pine Siskin or just a finch? For some reason, I think it looks a little different than my other Golds.
Also... can anyone suggest a good bird identification book? Right now, I only have my Reader's Digest North American Wildlife book. It was good at first, but now I'm finding it rather limiting. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

I believe that is a Yellow-rumped warbler has a new name but I can't remember what it is.
Looks like a Myrtle Warbler. The Myrtles are found in the east, Audubons in the west. Myrtle has a white throat, Audubon's is yellow.

Yes that was the new name that I couldn't remember.
In 1973, the Myrtle Warbler and the Audubon's Warbler were lumped together as Yellow-rumped Warbler.
Now they have been split again and an additional two species have been added to the mix.
So we have gone from 2 sp. to 1 sp. to 4 sp.
