I just ordered nite.guard does anyone on here have one and how do you like it?They are down to $20.00 now and it is solar.I have a lot of coons, fox and cyotes and skunks in the summer and woods around me so I thought it would be a little safer for my chickens if I had one.
Does anyone use nite.guard?
But your coop is nice and secure, so why would you need one? Just asking...Hay
not yet but I plan to as a deterant since my pen/coops & Aviary all line the edges of my woods. I was hoping the prices would come down. I saw in the Poultry mag. I just got that they were down to 20 yeah!!!
They are secure if I close them in at night, but I have forgotten a few times to put down the poop door and was lucky that nothing decided to go through the chicken wire.If I had hardware cloth and it was buried in the ground then I woul not worry at all but my runs are huge and it would cost a forturne to do that. When we build onto the big coop this spring I have french doors that will go in one end and I would like to leave that open at night,I will have the screen on there and if I can will cover that with hardware cloth to make it safer at night. That my reason for wanting the nite.guard/
OK, thanks for the explanation. Can't wait to see your new coop, or new addition at least...Is hubby shaking his head...LOL
Yes he is shaking his head, and he would not admit it but he likes doing things like this,it`s just getting started on the project. Was out sitting with the silkies yesterday and found another rooster(he was slow at maturing)thats 7 roosters, sure hope I can sell or give them away
