Please remember that all cultivar registrations are provisional until they are confirmed by the ICRA for Brugmansia, the International Brugmansia and Datura Society (IBADS). Once confirmed and recognized under the terms established by the International Society Of Horticultural Science (ISHS), the newly registered cultivars officially become part of the International Brugmansia Registry.

Hi Alice,
IBADS/iBrugs is the official ICRA for the genus Brugmansia as designated by the ISHS. In the past I know that other organizations have collected registration data, but the submission of that data to the IRCA has been sporadic at best, and often incomplete. Going forward, if registrations are not made directly through IBADS, they will only receive provisional status when they are documented in the system.
By having one central registration system it saves time, allows for more accurate data acquisition and a quicker turnaround for viewing and publication.
