There were several of these tiny sparrows on the grassy edge of the path, but didn't get one good photo. I'll share 2 pics.

My first thought was Chipping Sparrow but I'm not sure.

I'll provisionally say first-winter White-crowned Sparrow, but I'm not confident on that!

Another friend thought Field Sparrow too. It does fit better b/c it was such a small sparrow and I remember the white-throated that I've seen as beeing larger.
Have to check my list, but I think that's a lifer for me! Woohoo! Sparrows are so hard!
