Are these rare? Citron Spangled Hamburg Bantams

(Zone 6b)

I've read things before that said some chickens were rare, then someone on here tells me, no it isn't so.

I wondered about these. They are very pretty. http://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=347051

There is an auction for them online. Just what I need more chickens.

This site has many different Hamburgs.

What I read about them said they do not like people and the word they use for them is "flighty".

Looks that the first one.. Citron Spangled are exclusive to that breeder.. they are his line, so yeah, they are probably extremely rare.. also given the price! LOL Really, they look like amazing birds!

There are as many opinions as there are breeds... Some will say one thing and someone else can come along with a totally different experience. It's all about your personal preference. Until you have raised them.. you won't know how they really are.. FOR YOU..

But the global reference used.. (especially on ebay or auction titles) claiming them to be "rare" should probably be ignored. I've seen Common Delawares sold as "rare" Give me a break!!
